At Mid Georgia Turf Solutions, we offer a one-year tree care and shrub maintenance program that consists of insect and disease control and fertilization with seven applications strategically performed throughout the year. Our innovative tree and shrub care program is specifically designed to protect the investment you’ve made in your trees and shrubs by keeping them healthy, preventing harmful insects and diseases, and enhancing the blooms and growth of your plants.
Seven-Application Tree Care & Shrub Maintenance
Application1
Pre-Spring Horticultural Oil
During application one, a specialized formula of horticultural oil is applied to your trees and shrubs which smothers any insect larva that may be present on your plants. This preventative application is performed during winter months when insects are dormant and have already hatched their eggs.
Application2
Spring Bloom Enhancement
There’s nothing quite like the beauty of a healthy lawn full of blooming trees and shrubs in the springtime. Our technicians use a bloom enhancement fertilizer designed to bring out the vibrant colors of your plants’ flowers and results in a longer-lasting, healthier bloom. Application two is performed between the months of March and April.

Insect & Disease Control
The majority of harmful insects and plant-eating diseases in Middle Georgia manifest themselves in the warm summer months. Application three in our tree and shrub care program is applied at the very beginning of summer serving as a powerful defense against insects such as azalea lace bugs, aphids, Japanese beetles, white flies, mites and scale and diseases like anthracnose, leaf spot, and powdery mildew. Application four occurs in the middle of summer strengthening your trees and shrubs’ defense system and killing any existing insects or diseases. Towards the end of insect and disease season, we will treat your trees and shrubs with application five ensuring that your plants will be healthy and strong to endure the winter.

Fall Horticultural Oil
During application one, a specialized formula of horticultural oil is applied to your trees and shrubs which smothers any insect larva that may be present on your plants.
Application7
Deep Root Fertilization
The final application of our tree and shrub care program focuses on feeding the deeper roots of the plant with the nutrients it needs. This deep root fertilization results in enhanced color, improved leaf size, overall growth, and flowering potential. We also incorporate a systemic insecticide which is injected into the roots and pushed upward by the plant into the leaves where insects can come into contact with the insecticide.
